Vaccine research for the future

Cristian Alfredo Segura-Cerda Ph.D.

I lead a research group focused on tuberculosis, vaccinology, and immunogenomics. We study how Mycobacterium tuberculosis interacts with the human immune system to identify biomarkers of protection and to support the design of next-generation TB vaccines. Our goal is to translate basic science into impactful vaccines and immunisation strategies that help prevent disease and save lives.
